ARTISANS DE GENEVE is an independent workshop. On our website only, we offer a service of personalization of timepieces at the request of our customers within our limited capacities. We do not manufacture nor sell watches.
We are neither affiliated to nor authorized by the manufacturers of the client’s watches, that we accept to customize. They do not approve modifications or personalizations made to their products by unauthorized third parties
Therefore, our customization services are provided for personal and private use only. Any other use, in particular of a commercial nature, is not approved by ARTISANS DE GENEVE and will invalidate our warranty.

Step 01.
The Story
The film “The Big Blue” was the starting point for our client’s personalization, a man passionate about the beauty of the ocean’s depths. He asked us to rework his Deepsea®, the watch he wears the most — a treasured piece. He wanted to keep its nautical look and shape, all the while bringing a blue elegance to it. Naturally, he called his personalization la “Grand Bleu”.

Inspirations
& Development
Blue is the cornerstone of this project. Our client wanted to incarnate the calm of the depths, the calm before the storm. Varying hues are blended with different materials, all bound by handcrafted finishes: beveling, polishing, circular-graining.

To get as close as possible to the sea itself, we developed an exclusive hue: majestic blue.
Step 03.
Artisans Signatures
Feather Date Dial
The openwork dial was recut and adorned with diamond indexes that complement the steel movement.
Crystalight Date Wheel
We included a sapphire crystal date disk — a subtle detail that gives the piece its unmatched transparency. This piece alone required 60 hours of extremely delicate work.
Exclusive Rubber B Bracelet
With the expert Rubber B, we developed a genuine vulcanized rubber strap in blue majestic for a comfy wear.
Cerafino Bezel Grand Bleu
The bezel insert is composed of polished ceramic and contrasts elegantly with the openwork movement.

Step 04.
The Making
Our client wanted his personalization to be both sporty and refined, a balance that was painstakingly executed by our artisans. Each piece of the 3135 movement was expertly reworked, not unlike a sailor’s careful preparation of his boat. Some pieces are rhodium plated, others ringed, then hand-polished to bring shine to the modified caliber. After being cut with wire, the plate was coated blue. Demanding hundreds of hours of work, la “Grand Bleu” is a feat of technical and aesthetic prowess. A true voyage into the unknown.
